Yes, there's a downside to falling into a lot of money.
James Robertson, 56, the guy who walked many miles to get to his suburban factory job, quickly learned that after his story went viral. He got a new car and $350,000 in donations.
On Tuesday, he abruptly moved to a new, temporary location, concerned that his new wealth might attract some unsavory people looking for a piece of the action, Bill Laitner of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Detroit police Capt. Aric Tosqui said police helped him move.
"We had a meeting with him (and) he expressed interest that he did not feel safe," said Tosqui, commanding officer of the 3rd Precinct.
Robertson has yet to get the money, but people are asking him to share it.
