For many Tigers fans, last year was one of the more frustrating ones to watch, thanks to a bunch of star relievers who often played no better than minor leaguers.
Well, a lot of those relievers are returning, including Joe Nathan and Joakim Soria, both who created a lot hand-wringing moments for Detroit sports fans.
And now we have the return of Joba Chamberlain, 29, who has signed a one-year contract, according to the website, MLB Trade Rumors. Chamberlain had a pretty rocky second half of the season last year and blew some pretty pretty big games for the Tigers.
The website writes that Chamberlain will receive a $1 million-base salary, plus incentives. The websites credits Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports for that info. -- Allan Lengel
