For 2nd Time in 5 Days, a Metro Detroit Store Owner is Fatally Shot

For the second time in a week, a Metro Detroit business owner has been shot and killed during a robbery.

The latest came Tuesday night when Mouhammed Hassan, the owner of Platinum Pawn Shop on Dix Highway in Lincoln Park, was shot and killed during a robbery, The Detroit News reports. Hassan is the father of a son, 2, and he had a daughter on the way. 

No arrests have been made in the case.

Last Thursday, Clinton Township  party store owner Emil Salem was shot and killed while exchanging gunfire with an attempted robbery. Two people have been charged in that case.
