May 01, 2015, 4:31 PM

The Palmer Park Art Fair in northwest Detroit, which resurfaced last year after a 30-year hiatus, is returning this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday.

The fair promotes itself as "bigger and more varied" with 75 artists, more demonstrations and interactive elements and a larger variety of foods. There will also be music.

The free event include 12 artists in a new Teen Arts Program. The website says:

"These high school aged students are exhibiting their amazing work in a group tent.  Each juried in as an accomplished emerging artist and we have connected them with professional artist mentors to work with them on the business of art.  Their work is available to buy at the show."

Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday's are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 296-acre park is on the west side of Woodward between 7 Mile and 6 Mile. Follow signs to parking for the fair.
