A person who bites off part of another person's ear might have anger issues.

A judge certainly thinks so.

A Macomb County Circuit Court judge sentenced Danielle Nebelung to two years of probation and ordered her to enroll in anger management classes, Christina Hall of the Detroit Free Press reports. Nebelung, 32, was was accused of biting off part of her ex-boyfriend's ear during an altercation last year at their Macomb Township home.

Nebelung had been scheduled for a retrial on Wednesday after a mistrial was declared in March when a jury deadlocked. Her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Caruso, testified in that trial.

Photos in a court file shows his ear with the reattached piece and stitches, the Freep reports.
