Jim Schwartz, the former Detroit Lions head coach, has a different kind of job with the NFL.
FOX Sports reports that Schwartz, 48, will serve as a consultant to the league's officiating department for the 2015 season.
The station reports that Schwartz's main role is to help provide a coach's perspective with some of the decisions made by the officiating office.
Schwartz coached the Lions from 2009-2014. He was hired by the Buffalo Bills in 2014 as the defensive coordinator and was let go in January after the Bills hired Rex Ryan, Fox reports.
