An 18-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods man was hit by a semi-truck and died Wednesday while running across I-94 in Harper Woods, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Daniel Bethencourt of the Detroit Free Press writes that incident happen around 5 p.m. when the man ran down an embankment near Harper and Kingsville and onto the eastbound portion of I-94,
He then traversed a wall to westbound I-94, and stood in front of oncoming traffic where he was struck by the truck, the Freep reported.
Police told the Freep it was unclear why the man did what he did.
The incident is under investigation.
