Man, 21, Says He Was Robbed and Raped on Detroit's East Side

It's not often that we hear about a man being raped by another man in the city.

Amy Lange of Fox 2 reports that a 21-year-old man reported to police that he was robbed and raped at gunpoint by another man.

"Physically he'll be okay," Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody told . "I think it will be a long recovery otherwise."

Police said the man was on his way home from work around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday and stopped at a red light at Cadieux and Harper.

"He alleges that a suspect approached the passenger side of the vehicle," Woody told Fox 2. "And tapped on the window, produced a weapon and demanded that the victim open up the passenger side door."

The man says he was forced to go to an ATM and withdraw money. Another car followed.

After that, they took the victim to an isolated area and sexually assaulted him, Fox 2 reports.
