It's not often that you see an armed woman holding up a gas station. It's also not that often that a regular customer robs a station.
The woman was caught on video with a pistol-grip shotgun robbing the Shell station at 120 Middlebelt Road in Garden City on Wednesday, Taryn Asher of Fox 2 reports. The robber made off with about $900 and a lot of scratch-off lottery tickets.
She was arrested Thanksgiving morning, WDIV says.
Clerk Ali Hammoud tells Fox 2 that the woman comes in to the station three to five times a week.
The woman was wearing a black varsity-style UAW jacket with a GM logo on the back, a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
