Here's a good news on the employment front.
The Detroit Department of Transportation is looking to hire 40 to 60 bus drivers, and will hold a Job Fair on Monday from 1-6 p.m. at the Butzel Family Recreation Center, 7737 Kercheval.
The starting wage is $12.07 to $17.23 an hour. Requirements:
- Completion of high school or G.E.D.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Michigan Commercial Driver’s License with Group A or B designation and passenger and air brake endorsements.
- Preferably two years of experience operating automotive vehicles, as demonstrated by a state driving record.
