Attorney General Bill Schuette, often mentioned as a Republican candidate for governor in 2018, had a very good year in 2015.
Chad Livengood reports that Schuette and his wife Cynthia earned nearly $454,000 in 2015, up 51 percent from the previous year. They paid $109,738 in federal, state and city income taxes.
The hike was largely due to a boost in capital gains and dividends from investments, the News reports.
Schuette earns $112,410 as attorney general.
