As part of the 11th-hour campaign blitz in Michigan, Donald Trump Jr. came to Detroit Monday afternoon.

The articulate 38-year-old -- a more polished version of his dad --  delivered a speech aimed at the everyday person at the Rub BBQ Pub on W. Adams in downtown Detroit.

"The bureaucrats around Washington, all of their friends, the media elite, the Wall Street elite, the political elite, both sides, they've all gotten very comfortable," he told the loyal, receptive crowd of less than 100. "They've all done very well. You know who hasn’t done well? The American people."

"My father is doing this for you," he said. "As I said, he doesn’t need this but he loves the American dream. He got to live it, he got to experience it and he wants each and everyone of you of every ethnicity, of every background to be able to live that same dream in this country."

He went on to criticize Obamacare and a favorite target of his father's, the media.

"Let's face it, 96 percent of the media is writing checks to Hillary Clinton’s campaign," he said, adding facetiously, "so I’m sure they’re going to be totally objective." (Fact Check: You'd be hard pressed to find one reporter, editor or photographer, in an American newsroom, large or small, who has contributed to any campaign. In most newsrooms, donating to a campaign would be a fireable offense.)

Before his arrival, loyal supporters with "Donald Trump For President" vehicles, were parked outside the barbecue restaurant and bar.

There were a few protestors on hand, including a small group of young women who came down to see the Troye Sivan concert at the nearby Fillmore Detroit on Woodward.

Katie Dooley, 23, who was among that group, was asked what she thought about the Trump candidacy, to which she responded:

"Not positive all all. It makes very very uncomfortable that this is happening in my state."

There was also a little exchange between a white woman, who is supporting Trump, and an African American security guard who was working nearby.

"Fuck Trump," the guard was yelling. The woman remarked about his offensive language, to which he responded:

"She's supporting someone who is sexist."

The woman shouted back: "Women for Trump!"
