Redford Theatre Will Show 'Twister' on Saturday in Memory of Late Actor Bill Paxton

The Redford Theatre on Lahser Road just south of Grand River in Detroit will show the the 1996 movie "Twister" on Saturday night at 8 p.m.  in memory of actor Bill Paxton who died last month from surgery complications at age 61.

The disaster film stars Paxton and Helen Hunt as storm chasers researching tornadoes.

In the film, Bill and Jo Harding, advanced storm chasers on the brink of divorce, must join together to create an advanced weather alert system by putting themselves in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornadoes.

Tickets are $5.
