Opening Day at Comerica Park is Friday, April 9, less than a month away.

Snow doesn't exactly get you in the mood for baseball.

On Monday, the National Weather Service for Detroit/Pontiac is predicting 3-5 inches of snow for Metro Detroit and southeast Michigan throughout the day and night Monday. It is supposed to end Tuesday morning.

The weather service predicts "slippery and snow covered roads as temperatures reside in the 20s through most of the event."

The forecast calls for a high of 29 degrees on Monday and a low of 21.
