Raymond Durham, 60, was arraigned Friday on attempted murder charges in the wounding of two Detroit Police officers on Wednesday on Detroit's west side.

Dyerhan was arraigned at Ford Hospital, where Durham is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. He faces two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of resisting and obstructing the police causing serious Impairment, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and five counts of felony firearm.

Police Chief James Craig confirmed Friday that DNA from Durham matches DNA in the murder in November of Wayne State University Campus Police Officer Collin Rose. The department os preparing a warrant for charges in that case for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Deadline Detroit reported Thursday that Durham confessed from his hospital bed that he killed Rose.

The incident on Wednesday took place around 8:30 p.m. when the two officers in a marked car stopped to "conduct a pedestrian investigation" of Durham on Ash Street near Tillman, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said in a press release.

The officers lead Durham to the front of the vehicle, and while he was being detained, Durham allegedly fought with the officers, pulled a gun from his front waistband and fired at the officers. The officers returned fire.

Both officers were shot, and so was Durham, who fled. Shortly before 11 p.m. that night, police located Durham at Vinewood and Michigan Avenue and arrested him.
