2 a.m. Gunfire: Mother of 6 Dies in Crossfire Outside Northwest Detroit Nightclub

April 23, 2017, 9:29 AM

Angela Posey, a 28-year-old mother of six, was fatally shot early Saturday morning outside a night ln in northwest Detroit while caught in crossfire between a security guard and a patron, WDIV reports.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. at the Lodge Social Club on the Lodge service drive near Fenkell.

The guard followed the patron outside the club into the parking lot and the two exchanged gunfire, reports Jermont Terry of the station.

The patron ran toward a car occupied by Posey and the guard continued to fire, striking her.

Both the bouncer and patron took off. No arrests had been made as of Saturday.

"Why would you shoot into a vehicle like that not knowing who you're going to shoot?"  says Yvonne Posey, the victim's sister.

She tells Fox 2 that she expects to help raise her three nephews and three nieces aged 1 to 11.
