Miguel Cabrera's former mistress Belkis Rodriguez and her two children, who she says the Tigers star fathered, live in a double-gated community in a nearly $1-million Spanish-colonial mansion in Orlando with a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and perfectly manicured lawn, reports Tresa Baldas of the Detroit Free Press.
And oh yes, Cabrera pays at least $12,000 in monthly child support, records show. Rodriguez feels she deserves more under Florida law.
She also believes she's entitled to a similar standard of living as the three children Cabrera fathered with his wife Rosangel. They married in 2002 and live in a $3.2-million Grosse Pointe Farms lakefront home.
At the time she met Cabrera, Rodriguez was married and lived paycheck to paycheck in a modest apartment, the Freep reports. They dated for about five years and had children in 2013 and 2015, according to court records.
