Google, the California-based company, is moving from about 17,000 square feet in downtown Birmingham to 52 E. Henry in downtown Detroit near the Little Caesars Arena, Kirk Pinho of Crain's Detroit Business reports.
Google will take 29,178 square feet at the new space and move more than 100 advertising sales employees by spring.
"Detroit has a rich history of culture and innovation, and we're excited to be a part of its world- class talent and world-class companies," Danielle Russell and Guy Schueller of the local team say in a statement.
"Our new space will not only provide room for future growth, but will also give us the opportunity to contribute to the dynamic economic and community activity happening in Detroit."
