Dr. Larry Nassar, the former MSU and USA Gymnastics doctor, pleaded guilty Wednesday to seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with seven victims, reports Matt Mencarini of the Lansing State Journal. All but one was abused during a medical appointment.
Several charges involve victims younger than 13. Each count carries a penalty of 25 to 40 years.
Ingham County Circuit Judge Rosemarie Aquilina set sentencing for Jan. 12.
The Michigan Attorney General's Office is handling the case.
Nassar, 54, plans to plead guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Eaton County court next Wednesday.
