At a wild house party Oct. 28, hosted by two Cranbrook Kingswood students in Oakland Township, two girls allegedly were sexually assaulted by a fellow student.

Now the Oakland County Sheriff's Department has presented evidence in the case to the prosecutor's office for possible criminal charges, reports Lisa Brody of Birmingham/Bloomfield Downtown.

The victims, Crankbrook students aged 16 and 17, spoke with investigators in the two days following a house party where about 100 youths reportedly gathered. The father of one of the two girls who hosted it owns the home and was there, the suburban publication reports.

"We've had a couple of people come forward, kids who attended the party," says Undersheriff Michael McCabe. "The sheriff's office is disappointed more haven’t come forward."

Authorities are also interested in learning more about the host of the crowded Saturday night gathering four weeks ago and whether that person gave alcohol to minors.

Clay Matthews, spokesperson for the Bloomfield Hills private school, says in a statement:

"The safety of our students is Cranbrook's highest priority. While we do not, as a matter of policy, provide details on specific student matters, we can say that we have completed our investigation and will continue to take appropriate action."
