Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne does OK.
He was paid 9.67 million euros (nearly $12 million) in 2017 compensation, reports Nora Naughton of The Detroit News. It's slightly more than the nearly $11.5 million he made in 2016. He'll also get stock for the first time in three years, based on company performance.
To the common person, that's a lot of money. But in the corporate auto world, it's modest. General Motors CEO Mary Barra earned $22.6 million in 2016 compensation.
