City council members Sunday voted unanimously to fire him after he was charged with domestic assault and battery, Jim Schaefer and Allie Gross of the Detroit Free Press report.

Clawson police arrested Kischnick, a divorced father of two, after a Friday night incident in which he's accused of tackling a woman near the 700 block of South Chocolay of Clawson and later pushing her to the ground as she tried to get up.

The alleged victim is a 28-year-old Troy City Hall employee and that the incident took place where she lives, sources tell the paper.
