Buy me some peanuts and beer that's stout
I don't care if I never thaw out
Tigers' bats were hot Wednesday afternoon, knocking out 13 hits in a 6-5 victory over the Orioles that ended with Dixon Machado's walk-off homer.
The attention-grabbing fan interviewed briefly below, who identifies himself just as Voz, says he also runs hot -- though temperatures were in the 30s as the game began. His shirtless spectacle was shown on Fox Sports Detroit, on Comerica Park's scoreboard and in a tweet by the team.
In a stadium with more than 26,000 empty seats, the bearded, bodacious ballpark-goer was easy to find. So Will Burchield of Royal Oak, a CBS Detroit sportswriter, made his way to Voz's side for this 37-second chat (seen more than 353,000 times by late-afternoon Thursday):
This is #Tigers fan Voz, aka Chewbacca. He’s catching a tan in 40-degree weather because he’s just not into shirts. “I run hot,” he said. pic.twitter.com/VbZlKQMPI4
