Belle Isle is a little less shady following a Monday afternoon thunderstorm that significantly damaged the state park's trees, WDIV-TV reports.
Reporter Jason Colthorp tweeted two videos of the storm, which hit Belle Isle, Grosse Pointe Park and Detroit River marinas, inflicting mostly minor damage.

Windmill Pointe Park in Grosse Pointe Park was said to have trees down, no power, and debris in the swimming pool.
Tuesday is expected to be cloudy but cooler, with a high of 81.
