Henry Ford Health System Leases New 6-Story Building in Downtown Royal Oak

The sprawling Beaumont Hopsital has long been associated with Royal Oak. Now, the Henry Ford Health System to eke into the action.

The Detroit giant will take over all six flooors of a new building rising in front of Royal Oak City Hall. It is signing a lease for 20 years, reports Bill Laitner of the Detroit Free Press. 

Henry Ford plans to open its high-tech outpatient center in mid-2020 and bring about 200 doctors, nurses and other health care workers to the site. formerly a large parking lot.

The center will house women's health services, pediatrics, sports and rehabilitative medicine, radiology, primary care and outpatient surgery. The first floor will have a walk-in clinic, retail vision services, a pharmacy and a café.
