It's often unwise to conclude anything from angry tweets, but it seems safe to say TV commentators' chatter was annoying during top state officials' inaugurations Tuesday morning.
Broadcasters stilled their tongues when Gretchen Whitmer spoke outside the Capitol about "Building Bridges Together," but not during others' earlier remarks. Some viewers post Twitter versions of hissed "Shhh" reactions.
Even this TV anchor in Flint, who's originally from Detroit, is critical:
I really wish the video feed of the Michigan Inauguration was a clean feed because the announcers are ruining the experience, often talking over elements of the ceremony! #ShutUp #MichiganInauguration

Other examples start with one from a Ford autoworker in Ypsilanti:
@FOX2News this inaugural coverage is horrible. The commentators keep speaking over the speakers. #fail #michiganinauguration

These idiots won't stop talking over the #MichiganInauguration #SHUTUP

Can @detroitpublictv be any more annoying and rude? I'm trying to listen to @SenGaryPeters while they talk over him. Please shut up while the speeches commence. Am I the only one who thinks this? #MichiganInauguration

WE DON'T NEED COLOR COMMENTARY IN THE #MichiganInauguration

Lastly, a different kind of gripe from a politically active Detroiter:
#Awkward as @detroitpublictv live coverage of #MichiganInauguration ends 4 minutes before Gretchen Whitmer officially takes office and as Senator Gary Peters is still speaking. #migov #michigan
