Now comes life after government -- at least for the time being.

Brian Calley, who was Michigan's lieutenant governor from 2011-18 and ran for governor, joins the Small Business Association of Michigan as president, the organization says

HIs duties will include heading communications and government affairs. The current president, CEO Rob Fowler, remains chief executive.

“We could not be happier or more excited to welcome Brian and to work with him in the fight to support Michigan small businesses and the men and women who work for them,” Fowler said in a statement.  “Brian has a long and accomplished record of advocating for the interests of small businesses in Michigan.  His experience, vision, and passion make him a perfect choice to lead our organization now and into the future.”
