Though the intense excitement of past auto shows seems to be missing -- particularly with the absence of most European carmakers -- there's still a sense of something special at Cobo Center at the 2019 North American International Auto Show.
Taking advantage of the media preview on Monday, we walked around the floor and snapped photos of cars that caught our eye.
The show opens to the public Saturday and runs through Sunday, Jan. 27. (Details here.) Next year, it moves to June when the weather is far better.
