Last year, Buddy’s Pizza announced that it had received a significant investment from CapitalSpring, a private equity firm. The idea was to expand in the Midwest and beyond.
The Farmington Hills-based company announced plans Tuesday to open a store this spring in Grand Rapids, its first outlet outside of Southeast Michigan.
The new store at 4061 28th St. will be approximately 6,620-square-feet and seat 210 guests, including 20 seats on an outdoor patio, the company said in a press release.
This marks the 14th Buddy's location.
“So many Metro Detroiters have chosen Grand Rapids as a place to live because it shares so much of Detroit’s history and values,” Chief Brand Officer Wes Pikula said in a statement. “We’ve fielded many requests over the years to take Buddy’s there.”
