Tragedy can't begin to describe this murder in Detroit.
A 3-year-old boy identified as Christian Miller was shot Thursday night on the Southfield Freeway at Joy Road around 7 p.m. and died Friday morning, Nia Harden of WXYZ reports,
The boy was in a vehicle's back seat and was with his godmother and her 3-year-old son. They were going to see "Sesame Street Live" at the Fox Theatre, according to family.
The bullet went through the side door and then through the car seat, striking the boy between the shoulder blades.

Investigation revealed that the driver of the victims vehicle, the Dodge Journey, was not the victims mother, but his Godmother. The victims mother was contacted and interviewed.

We have not yet determined a motive. The suspect information we have is a light colored four door.
