Mario Impemba, the former voice of the Detroit Tigers, will soon be among a chorus of voices for the Boston Red Sox.

The Boston Globe reports that Impemba will join a cast of broadcasters replacing one of the two top guys at the team's flagship radio station, WEEI. Impemba was ousted by Fox Sports Detroit last year over a physicial fight with Tigers analyst, Rod Allen.

Impemba apparently has ties to his new team. The Globe reports Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski wrote the foreword of his 2014 his book, "If These Walls Could Talk: Detroit Tigers: Stories from the Detroit Tigers' Dugout, Locker Room, and Press Box."

The Tigers recently announced that Matt Shepard will replace Impemba here in Detroit.
