Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy and her staff are joining the team prosecuting the Flint water crisis criminal cases, Paul Egan of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Attorney General Dana Nessel made the announcement Thursday.
Worthy will join Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud in leading the Flint criminal cases, Nessel said. Flint special prosecutor Todd Flood, who was appointed by former Attorney General Bill Schuette, will stay on as a special assistant attorney general, to assist, Hammoud said.
