Councilman Pugh Claims Detroit Cops Sabotaging Traffic Tickets in Court

Could it be that Detroit cops are sabotaging traffic tickets?

The Detroit Free Press reports that Pugh called for an investigation Tuesday, alleging that cops are intentionally showing up to court unprepared to undermine traffic tickets and deprive the city of thousands of dollars. Pugh has fired off a letter to Interim Police Chief Chester Logan and Chief Judge Kenneth King of the 36th District Court about the allegations.

"That's thousands of dollars we're not getting in a city that is cash-strapped," he said.
