A 30-year-old Rochester Hills man was committed by the court to a mental health care facility after diplaying unusual behavior at two Islamic Centers in Rochester Hills this week, including telling children they were practicing a fake religion, Stephen Frye of The Oakland Press reports.

A detective from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office worked with the man's father to obtain a court order for the commitment, the paper reports. The man had previously been diagnosed with a mental health disorder. He was taken into custody on Tuesday.

"His son was no longer taking his medication, which has been causing his unstable behavior," the sheriff's office reported.

On Sunday afternoon, the man entered the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Center in Rochester Hills and told children they were practicing a fake religion. He left in a burgundy Mercury Sable, the paper reports.

On Monday, he entered the Islamic Association of Greater Detroit in Rochester Hills, and after a few minutes yelled: "You guys will go to hell; Jesus is God." After being asked to leave, he fled on his bike.
