It comes as no suprise that Donald Trump still has no love for Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The two went at it while he was president and not much seems to have changed.
On Tuesday, during his visit to Grand Rapids, Trump attacked President Biden over the U.S-Mexico border, and also took a shot at Whitmer, who sent a mass text on Tuesday night repeating the remark, with a hope of raising some political donations to the "Gretchen Whitmer FIGHT LIKE HELL" Pac.
"I’m sending you a quick message because Donald Trump is in Michigan today and my team just let know he spent his time here launching personal attacks and lies against me," she wrote.
"He said, 'Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a real beauty she is… And she's a terrible Governor, by the way. Your streets are bad. Your everything's bad.'
"Gross," she wrote, and went on to say:
"He attacks me time and time again because he fears what I have done — and will do — to stand up to him and his extremist allies."
"I know he’s terrified of the grassroots movement we’ve built together —and we're not even closed to finished."
"So today I'm asking: willyou help me show Trump how strong our movement is by chipping in now?"
Trump also attacked Biden, saying:
“Under Crooked Joe Biden, every state is now a border state. Every town is now a border town because Joe Biden has brought the carnage and chaos and killing from all over world and dumped it straight into our backyards."
