It seemed like the old days at the "Joe" on Saturday night, the fans all spirited, cheering loudly, downing hot dogs and beer, watching their guys in red give the visiting team a whooping.

Suddenly, it was easy to forget the five game losing streak.

The Red Wings downed the the Nashville Predators 4-0, with goalie Jimmy Howard playing a solid game and Red Wings Drew Miller, Tomas Tatar, Niklas Kronwall and Daniel Cleary scoring goals.

The team hadn't won a game since Feb. 10.

The victory left the team with a 8-7-3 record and in fourth place in the Central Division, two points behind the Predators. -- A.L.
