Winos... celebrate!
Thanks to House Bill 5046, Michigan residents are allowed to bring their own bottle of wine to bars and restaurants starting today.
The rules are:
- The establishment must already have a liquor license
- You might be charged a fee to bring in the bottle
- No liquor or wine you made in your bathtub
- Hotels and resorts are exempt
- You must be of legal drinking age (hope that one was a given)
The law lets bars and restaurants set their own specific policies, so calling ahead is recommended.
Cheers!
