The probe into the beating of driver Steven Utash took a new twist Thursday.
A16-year-old is charged with ethnic intimidation in the case, Elisha Anderson of the Detroit Free Press reports. White motorist Steven Utash was beaten by an east-side mob in Detroit after he struck a 10-year-old April 2 and got out of his pickup to check on the boy.
The Freep reports that the teen, who was charged as a juvenile,also faces charges assault with intent to do great bodily harm and has a court hearing Saturday. His name is not being released. -- A.L.
