Detroit native Jeff Sinelli founded Which Wich? Superior Sandwiches in Dallas in 2003. Two years later, he began franchising, and now has more than 300 locations in four countries.

After all that, he's finally opening his first franchise in Metro Detroit, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Anjana Schroeder of Crain's Detroit Business reports that the store opens today at 17045 Kercheval Ave. in Grosse Pointe. There's already one in Petskey and second one in Metro Detroit is slated for Southfield in the fall.

Crain's reports that Sinelli is a Michigan State grad who learned about the hospitality industry from his father, who owned several metro Detroit sports bars.

The store owners in Grosse Pointe are Mike Berschback and Nabil Shurafa, both 35.  -- Allan Lengel
