Firefighters in Walled Lake battled a fire for hours on Monday that engulfed Pepino's Restaurant and Lounge on Walled Lake Drive at Pontiac Trail, WDIV reports.
No injuries have been reported. The cause is unknown. The restaurant was closed on Monday.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m., WDIV reports.
"It means the world to our family. We've been here for 31 years," owner Carol Bernardi told WDIV. "Our parents started it. Many of our siblings worked in it, our children and grandchildren. We're devastated."
