Donald Trump, who has coronavirus likely because he didn't wear a mask and had a bunch of people over, is tweeting praise for a Michigan court ruling that invalidated the state's mask mandate and other safety rules.
We just got a BIG win for the people of Michigan. Open up your Churches and your Schools. Auto companies pouring in and expanding (thank you Mr. President!). Have fun! https://t.co/Bmj9f32DZV

The Wednesday morning statement was a response to a post by the Young Americans for Liberty, who mocked Whitmer's claim that the economy would be put in danger if cases begin to surge again in Michigan.
The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down a law under which Whitmer had issued a number of executive orders to address the pandemic. The vote was 4-3, along party lines.
The state's top Republican has expressed opposition to mask mandates and restrictions on businesses, including capacity limits for dining and other activities.
