Oxford High School students who hid in a classroom to evade a shooter are seen fleeing through a window in panic in harrowing cell phone video posted to Snapchat.

The clips shot by a student provide a glimpse into tense moments of lockdown Tuesday afternoon as a 15-year-old opened fire on the northern Oakland County school, killing three and wounding eight.

Students are seen crouched down as their apparent teacher barricades the door with a table. When someone identifying themselves as law enforcement says from the other side that it's safe to emerge, the teacher replies, "We're not willing to take that risk right now."

The students then spring into action, hearing a supposed officer respond, "Well come to the door and look at my badge, bro."

"He said bro!" one student says. "Red flag," says another, prompting the group to rush out a first-floor window and across a courtyard to safety in another wing of the school.

"Slow down, you're fine," a deputy at that entrance assures them.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard confirmed at a news conference Wednesday that the person on the other side of the door was indeed a law enforcement officer.
